ON A SUNNY SUMMER AFTERNOON….

On a sunny summer afternoon,
A long time ago,
When my presence was just only,
Six years old,
Grandma told me lovingly,
There will come a time soon,
When i will not be able,
To wake up, from my sleep,
What are you talking about granny?
I cant figure it out,
You wake up everyday from your sleep,
What can possibly go around?,
No child no,
Thats not the law of nature,
If that what it would have been,
We would always remain thirsty old beings,
I will die soon,
I wish it could be peaceful,
Peacefully in my sleep,
And what you jumping around baby?,
Your flesh is young i know,
Youve got a lot to know,
Soon you will become,
Not 6 but 60 years old,
Time flies so soon,
Its not a curse but a boon,
One day you’ll also leave,
Leave your place on this earth,
Maybe i will be,
Waiting to meet you in heaven….
P.S as a child (and now also) im really scared of immortality, i dont know why!
